Using a Pizza Stone

Good pizzas are baked in brick or special pizza ovens at high temperatures.

However, brick ovens may reach 800°F or more, whereas standard ovens cannot.

Hot ceramic pizza stones may reach 500°.

Using a pizza stone in your oven gives pizza the crisp crust that professional ovens have.

You won't get that crunchy crust we all love on homemade pizza without this bakeware.

Thin stones heat faster but won't overheat.

Thicker stones get hotter, so allow extra time for oven and stone warming.
